The Saving Power of a Perfectly Proportioned Red Marble, Veined with Yellow
100 Word Memoir by Jeremy Pegg
Pegg sits down after an enjoyable day in the city. He has his coffee, his cigar. He turns the television on and remembers, no hockey. At a loss, he selects Baywatch (Remastered) and is immediately drawn into the horror of a boy on his back, no pulse, surrounded by four lifeguards in the back of a speeding boat. Mitch is doing chest compressions. “1-2-3-4-5.” C. J. is working the oxygen, the other hunk is charging the defib paddles. They blast this poor kid five times but it will be Hobie’s lucky red and yellow marble shooter that eventually heals him.
